 Power Dynamics LLC delivers first of 13 refurbished LARC’s for NACFAC

Stennis Space Center, MS, March 17, 2006: Power Dynamics LLC (PDI), Stennis Space Center, MS, delivers the first of the newly refurbished Light Amphibious Re-supply Cargo (LARC) craft for the Sealift Support Program Office (SSPO) of the Naval Facilities Engineering Command.

Power Dynamics awarded option to produce 13 refurbished LARCs for Naval Facilities Engineering Command

Stennis Space Center, MS, March 27, 2006`:  Power Dynamics, LLC (PDI), Stennis Space Center, MS, has been awarded the first contract option to repair and overhaul 13 Light Amphibious Re-supply Cargo (LARC) craft for the Sealift Support Program Office (SSPO) of the Naval Facilities Engineering Command.  The work under this contract is part of SSPO’s Service Life Extension Project (SLEP) for the LARC amphibious craft.

 The LARCs will be outfitted with new state-of-the-art turbo-charged, fuel-injected diesel engines which will be used to power a hydraulic system made up of pumps driving wheel and propeller motors.  Ancillary improvements will also be made to control, steering, and passenger carrying systems.  Delivery of the first craft is scheduled for October, 2006 and will continue monthly until all 13 craft are delivered against this contract option.
